I paint with acrylics on watercolor paper, using the process of layering the paint and scratching back to reveal unique colors and textures in my paintings.
 
Tiger, Tiger Buring Bright - my first big cat painting which I did in the style of painter Henri Rousseau. 
 
 I chose to do a night scene because of an experience my husband and I had in the Sumatran rainforest.  One late night while staying in a guest house hut, we woke hearing dogs barking loudly.  The next morning our host showed us large paw prints close by and told us a tiger had visited.
