I paint with acrylics on watercolor paper, using the process of layering the paint and scratching back to reveal unique colors and textures in my paintings.
 
The Ram - One of many paintings I done of horned animals.  Can you imagine what it would feel like to have a horn growing from your head? In ancient times horns symbolized strength and power. A ram's horn continues to grow his whole life and can weigh up to 30 pounds. Rams use their horns for protection from predators like bears and to settle disagreements between them, like fighting for a female.  I love this painting, I love the way he is close up and right in your face, he also is the symbol for the astrology sign Aries.
