I paint with acrylics on watercolor paper, using the process of layering the paint and scratching back to reveal unique colors and textures in my paintings.
 
Sunflowers on the Screen Porch ~  I had noticed the morning light shining on the silver pitcher and the porch ledge contrasting the dark column and was inspired to take a few photos and once again paint the pitcher with the sunflowers. It is my third time painting this subject. I like the dynamic composition of this latest one. It was a fun challenge to paint the reflective light and shadow on the pitcher, along with the sunflowers which varied in color because of the light and shade, and also the contrast of the column and ledge.
