I paint with acrylics on watercolor paper, using the process of layering the paint and scratching back to reveal unique colors and textures in my paintings.
 
I love this painting, Philodendron in the Window.  It makes me think of my mom.  She would take cuttings of her houseplants to root..  There was always a little vase with beautiful leaves on her kitchen windowsill.   She had quite a green thumb and to this day I love having green house plants throughout our home.
