I paint with acrylics on watercolor paper, using the process of layering the paint and scratching back to reveal unique colors and textures in my paintings.
 
For a time I was a park ranger in Brooklyn; people were always surprised to learn about the wide variety of wild life living in the parks. I saw many a kingfisher in the Lull-water area of Prospect Park. Kingfisher in Prospect Park is from that memory.
