I paint with acrylics on watercolor paper, using the process of layering the paint and scratching back to reveal unique colors and textures in my paintings.
 
Dragonflies and Orbs ~ a whimsical painting of  four dragonflies flying above a pond, I added orbs throughout the page to give it a magical feel. 
 
The symbolic meaning of a dragonfly is transformation, change, new beginnings, or fresh starts. I used to paint dragonflies on my papier mache bowls; they were a popular motif. Dragonflies are amazing creatures that are fun to watch fly about and they excellent hunters that can eat up to 100 mosquitos a day.
