I paint with acrylics on watercolor paper, using the process of layering the paint and scratching back to reveal unique colors and textures in my paintings.
 
I have seen this stance of the blue crab many times while crabbing. I painted this crab night scene while pondering the crab as a symbol for the Cancer astrological sign. Cancers are known for being very creative, intuitive and protective. They are ruled by the Moon.
