I paint with acrylics on watercolor paper, using the process of layering the paint and scratching back to reveal unique colors and textures in my paintings.
 
Curves and Circles ~ In this painting I started with a large purple spiral across the page but used too much pigment so it felt too dark. I continued with more waves of color mixing the lights and darks and in doing so it became more and more complex. I found it challenging, but eventually I pulled it together and am fairly pleased, the complexity of the layers of color actually helped create a sense of space. It was a fun challenge.
